The Story
Having grown up with his Muggle (non-magical) aunt and uncle after his parents’ death, Harry Potter learns on his 11th birthday that he is a wizard and that he survived an attack by the Dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who had killed Harry’s parents. After purchasing his school supplies accompanied by a half-giant called Hagrid, Harry takes up his place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
On the train to school, he befriends a pure-blood wizard Ron Weasley, and both are sorted into Gryffindor house along with Neville Longbottom and the resident know-it-all Hermione Granger.
After rescuing her from a mountain troll, Hermione becomes their friend and together, they figure out the contents of the little package protected by the giant three-headed dog Fluffy.
When headmaster Professor Dumbledore leaves the school, it is up to the three young Gryffindors to find the Sorcerer’s Stone to stop the dark and mysterious Professor Snape from stealing it for Lord Voldemort…
Rupert’s character
Ron Weasley is the son of Molly and Arthur Weasley and a pure-blood wizard. He has five older brothers (Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred and George) and one younger sister, Ginny.
Overshadowed by his siblings and slightly ashamed of his family’s poverty, Ron befriends the famous orphan Harry Potter on the train to school. Along with Harry and the precocious Hermione Granger, he is sorted into Gryffindor and proves his courage when he fights a mountain troll and sacrifices himself on the giant Chessboard.
