Behind the Scenes

  • Rupert’s favourite Scene to film: the scenes with Dumbledore’s Army
  • Rupert also supplied Ron’s voice for the videogame for Order of the Phoenix.
  • Rupert was looking forward to filming Quidditch, but it was cut due to time constraints.
  • Order of the Phoenix is the longest book, but the shortest film in the series.
  • Originally, one scene involved a real tarantula dangling over Rupert’s shoulder. However, due to Rupert’s arachnophobia, they were unable to actually film the scene.
  • Another scene involved the line “Who else wants a fistful of Weasley” for Rupert, but was never completed as the cast never made it through a take without laughing.
  • Rupert enjoyed filming the Christmas scene as it involved all the Weasleys giving out presents.
  • Rupert revealed that a harness was used to lift the actors up while filming the scenes of them flying on Thestrals.
