The Story

After using magic to defend himself and his Muggle cousin from a Dementor attack, Harry Potter is called before the court, but cleared, and spends the rest of the summer at Grimmauld Place, the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, a group of witches and wizards fighting Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
As the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher (and eventually High Inquisitor) Professor Umbridge does not teach the students practical defensive magic for fear of Professor Dumbledore taking over the Ministry of Magic, Harry and his friends invite other students to train defensive spells during secret meetings in the Room of Requirement.
Once one of Harry’s recurring vivid dreams of dark corridors makes him witness of an attack on Ron’s father,he is forced to study Occlumency (closure of his mind against external penetration) with Professor Snape. When Harry has another vision of his godfather being held captive by Lord Voldemort, he and his friends decide to fly to London to save Sirius…

Rupert’s character

Ron returns to Hogwarts with Harry and Hermione, where Professor Umbridge makes their lives miserable as High Inquisitor and Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. As she does not teach any practical defensive spells, Ron joins Dumbledore’s Army to learn to defend himself in case of an encounter with Death Eaters or Lord Voldemort.
Supporting Harry through his glimpses into Voldemort’s mind, Ron joins his friends on the journey to rescue Sirius Black from the Ministry of Magic in London, where Lord Voldemort seems to have taken him to.

Trivia Information

  • When asleep at Grimmault Place, Ron wears the same top as he did in Goblet of Fire when he slept at the Burrow.
  • When sitting in the train’s compartment, Ron keeps looking at Hermione.
  • The first thing Ron checks when being given the Defence Against the Dark Arts book “Basics for Beginners” is the backcover.
  • While eating his sausage, another half-eaten sausage can be seen on Ron’s breakfast plate.
  • Ron is still eating when they follow Professors Umbridge and McGonagall into the Entrance Hall.
  • When they check the Room of Requirement for the first time, one of the twins does a very Rupert-esque movement.
  • At Christmas, Ron takes a gulp of his drink way before everyone toasts to Harry.
  • When Harry, Ron and Hermione visit Hagrid, there are only two cups on the table for the three of them.
  • When everyone is cheering for the Weasley twins, Ron has a piece of paper in his hair.
  • When standing on the moving staircase discussing Sirius, Ron steps back down to be on the same level as Hermione.
  • After dropping down into the Room of Death, Ron lands with his hand on Hermione’s back.
