ENEMY OF MAN

Rupert Grint Filmography: Enemy of Man

“It’s basically MacBeth, which is one of my favourite of the Shakespeare stories and I think it’s going to really cool. It’s going to be a kind of gory, a quite true take on the story. A lot of horse riding and a Scottish accent *laughs* Just trying Shakespeare, I think it’s going to be quite a challenge, and I’m quite looking forward to that.” (Rupert Grint about Enemy of Man)

EoM_Poster

In May 2013, Rupert Grint starred as Rosse in concept trailer “INSTRUMENTS OF DARKNESS” for the Macbeth-adaptation Enemy of Man. After a succesful Kickstarter campaign several months later, filming was pushed back several times. According to his representatives, Rupert is no longer attached to this project as of late 2017.

The Story

Enemy of Man is a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s play “Macbeth”. Scottish General Macbeth is prophecied to become King of Scotland and, to become so, murders King Duncan. Consumed by paranoia and fear, he commits more murders to protect himself from his enemies.

Rupert’s character

Rupert played Rosse in the concept trailer, one of the Thanes who at first support Macbeth as a King, but switch side once they realise how many fell victim to Macbeth’s quest.

Rupert about Enemy of Man

“It’s something that’s gonna be quite cool. It’s still in its early stages, I think. I’m not sure there’s a date for when we start filming. It’s basically MacBeth, which is one of my favourite of the Shakespeare stories and I think it’s going to really cool. It’s going to be a kind of gory, a quite true take on the story. A lot of horse riding and a Scottish accent *laughs* Just trying Shakespeare, I think it’s going to be quite a challenge, and I’m quite looking forward to that.”
